Worst Measles Outbreak in Two Decades, CA Officials Say

Public health officials in Orange County, CA are reporting that a measles outbreak is the worst in two decades. Twenty-one individuals have been diagnosed and 7 have required hospitalization so far this year. Nearby cases have also been reported in Los Angeles County and Riverside, as well as in New York City and San Francisco. Those who have not been vaccinated are strongly encouraged to get the MMR vaccine unless they are experiencing the disease symptoms.
