Innovus Pharma announced the launch of Sensum+, an over-the-counter (OTC) cream to increase penile sensitivity. Reduced penile sensitivity is associated with various diseases such as hernia surgery, antidepressant use, circumcision, multiple sclerosis, and others.

Sensum+, a patented topical formulation, includes a blend of essential oils and natural botanicals including rose oil, sweet almond oil, cinnamon bark oil, and other extracts. The main ingredient, cinnamon oil, works by activating the Transient Receptor Potential A1 (TRPA-1) channels responsible for the heat and cold sensation of the skin, resulting in an increase of sensation.

The safety and efficacy of Sensum+ was evaluated in two postmarketing survey studies in circumcised and non-circumcised men with low penile sensitivity (n=382). Study participants used Sensum+ twice daily for 14 days followed by once daily for 8 weeks and as needed thereafter. The data showed statistically significant increases in all endpoints: 197% in penile sensitivity, 60% reduction in time for Masturbation Ejaculatory Latency Time (MELT) in diabetic men, over 300% increase in satisfaction, and nearly 275% increase in Partner's Satisfaction. Overall, Sensum+ was well tolerated with no reports of serious adverse events.

Sensum+ will be available through its website and through the Beyond Human print and online platforms. It is supplied as a handheld 10mL dose-metered pump that dispenses 150mg per press. It is also available as single-use 0.5mL packets in 24-count boxes.
