Novo Nordisk announced the availability of the Levemir (insulin detemir [rDNA origin] injection) FlexTouch, a new prefilled insulin delivery device.

When a dose is dialed with traditional prefilled pens, the push button extends and at larger doses can present challenges for the patient. Levemir FlexTouch is the first prefilled insulin delivery device with no push-button extension and allows insulin to be administered by pressing the low dose force button.
