Auxogyn announced the availability of the Eeva Test to help the embryo selection process by taking images of the embryos during the incubation period. The Eeva Test is a first-in-class, noninvasive predictive test to aid clinicians during in vitro fertilization (IVF).

The Eeva Test uses time-lapse image analysis software to identify specific cell division timing that can be used to predict embryo developmental potential. These test results can be used along with standard morphology grading to select the best embryos.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted clearance for the Eeva Test based on a clinical validation study that showed the test to be informative in identifying embryos with the highest development potential when used with morphology. A panel of five embryologists were able to predict embryo development 53% more accurately when using the Eeva Test adjunctively vs. morphological grading alone.
