Ebola Case Probed in Canada

A man who recently traveled from Liberia is exhibiting symptoms consistent with viral hemorrhagic fevers, states Canadian health officials. These fevers can include the diseases Ebola hemorrhagic fever, Lassa fever, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, and yellow fever that are found in Africa. The man is currently in an intensive care unit and isolated, and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health states that there is no risk to the general public and they cannot confirm that it is Ebola hemorrhagic fever. There is currently no drug treatment for Ebola hemorrhagic fever but it is not a highly infectious disease.
