Indications for MIDOL TEEN:

Dysmenorrhea.

Adult Dose for MIDOL TEEN:

2 caplets every 6 hours; max 6/day.

Children's Dose for MIDOL TEEN:

Not applicable.

Pharmacological Class:

Analgesic + diuretic.

Contraindications:

Ibuprofen: Aspirin allergy, 3rd trimester pregnancy.

Warnings/Precautions:

Dehydration. Hepatic dysfunction. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers. Pyrilamine: Asthma, emphysema, other lower respiratory disorders. Glaucoma. GI or urinary obstruction.

Interactions:

Avoid aspirin, other pain relievers. Alcohol increases risk of GI bleed (ibuprofen) or hepatotoxicity (acetaminophen). Pyrilamine: potentiates CNS depression with alcohol, other CNS depressants.

Adverse Reactions:

Ibuprofen: GI upset, GI bleed. Acetaminophen: hepatotoxicity (overdosage). Pyrilamine: drowsiness, dizziness, paradoxical excitation (esp. in children). Diphenhydramine: drowsiness. Caffeine: nervousness, irritability, palpitations.
