Therapeutic Use:

Indications for MAXAIR AUTOHALER:

Bronchospasm. Asthma.

Adult Dose for MAXAIR AUTOHALER:

1–2 inh every 4–6 hours; max 12 inh/day.

Children's Dose for MAXAIR AUTOHALER:

Not recommended.

Pharmacological Class:

beta-2 agonist.

Warnings/Precautions:

Avoid excessive use. Cardiac disease. Hypertension. Diabetes. Hyperthyroidism. Seizure disorders. Labor & delivery. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers.

Interactions:

Avoid other aerosol β-agonists, MAOIs, tricyclics. Antagonized by β-blockers. Caution with other drugs that may lower serum potassium (eg, diuretics).

Adverse Reactions:

Paradoxical bronchospasm, nervousness, tremors, headache, palpitations, tachycardia, dizziness, nausea, cough.
