Lupin Approved for Generic Lutera

Lupin announced that it has received final FDA approval for Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets, the generic version of Watson's Lutera 28.

Lutera is a combined oral contraceptive indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use oral contraceptives as a method of contraception. Combination oral contraceptives act by suppression of gonadotropins, primarily inhibiting ovulation.

Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets will be available in a 0.1mg/0.02mg dosage strength. Lupin will be marketing this product shortly.
