Contraindications for HISTEX SR

Severe hypertension or coronary artery disease. Nursing mothers. Within 14 days of MAOIs.

Warnings/Precautions for HISTEX SR

Hypertension. Cardiovascular disease. Diabetes. GI or GU obstruction. Increased intraocular pressure. Thyroid disease. History of bronchospasm. Elderly. Pregnancy (Cat.C).

Interactions for HISTEX SR

Increased risk of cardiac arrhythmias with digitalis. Alcohol, other CNS depressants potentiated. Guanethidine, other antihypertensives antagonized. MAOIs and tricyclics may potentiate anticholinergic effects. MAOIs and β-blockers may increase the pressor effects of sympathomimetics. Tricyclic antidepressants may antagonize pseudoephedrine.

Adverse Reactions for HISTEX SR

Drowsiness, anticholinergic effects, GI upset, dizziness, anxiety, weakness, insomnia, thickening of bronchial secretions, hypotension, excitability in children, respiratory depression or difficulty, palpitations.
