Dr. Reddy's announced the launch of Nitroglycerin sublingual tablets, the generic version of Pfizer's Nitrostat.

Nitroglycerin, an organic nitrate, is approved for the acute relief of angina attack and for the prophylaxis of angina pectoris. It exerts its action by relaxing the vascular smooth muscle and producing a dose-related dilation of both arterial and venous vessels, thereby reducing left ventricular end-diastolic pressure, peripheral vascular resistance and arterial pressure.
