Gavis announced the launch of My Way (levonorgestrel 1.5mg) tablet, the generic version of Teva's Plan B One-Step.

My Way is an emergency contraceptive to prevent pregnancy after known or suspected contraceptive failure or unprotected intercourse. It alters the cervical mucus, exerts a progestational effect on the endometrium, interfering with implantation, and, for some, suppresses ovulation.

My Way is available as a single tablet over-the-counter to women >17 years old and should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.
