Therapeutic Use:

Indications for FERO-FOLIC-500:

Iron deficiency and prophylaxis of folic acid deficiency. Pregnancy.

Adult Dose for FERO-FOLIC-500:

1 tab daily on an empty stomach.

Children's Dose for FERO-FOLIC-500:

Not recommended.

Contraindications:

Hemochromatosis. Hemosiderosis. Pernicious anemia.

Warnings/Precautions:

May mask pernicious anemia. Monitor hemoglobin, hematocrit, reticulocyte count periodically. Elderly.

Interactions:

Inhibits tetracycline absorption. Aluminum- or magnesium-containing antacids inhibit iron absorption.

Adverse Reactions:

Nausea, abdominal discomfort and pain, constipation, diarrhea, masks occult bleeding, black stools.
