Indications for BICITRA:

Urinary alkalinization.

Adult Dose for BICITRA:

10–30mL diluted in 1–3oz water or juice after meals and at bedtime.

Children's Dose for BICITRA:

5–15mL diluted in 1–3oz water or juice after meals and at bedtime.

Pharmacological Class:

Urinary alkalinizer.

Contraindications:

Renal insufficiency. Sodium restriction.

Warnings/Precautions:

Cardiac failure. Hypertension. Renal disease. Edema. Monitor serum electrolytes. Toxemia of pregnancy.

Interactions:

Aluminum based antacids.

Adverse Reactions:

Laxation, alkalosis.
