Indications for AZO STANDARD MAXIMUM STRENGTH:

Urinary tract discomfort.

Adult Dose for AZO STANDARD MAXIMUM STRENGTH:

2 tabs 3 times daily after meals; max 2 days when used with antimicrobials.

Children's Dose for AZO STANDARD MAXIMUM STRENGTH:

Not recommended.

Pharmacological Class:

Urinary tract analgesic.

Contraindications:

Renal insufficiency.

Warnings/Precautions:

Yellow discoloration of skin or sclera may indicate poor excretion. Stains soft contact lenses. Liver disease. Anemia. Discolors urine and fabric (red-orange). Elderly. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.

Interactions:

Interferes with colorimetric urine tests.

Adverse Reactions:

GI upset, headache, rash, methemoglobinemia, hemolytic anemia, renal and hepatic toxicity.
